From the Magic Land of the Sea-Monkeys®

The home of the Amazing Live Sea-Monkeys® (Transcience LLC) is located on a historic and magical plot of land along the Potomac River in Maryland. Known as the Montrose Farm, this property is an organic wildlife sanctuary where animals, reptiles, fish, and birds roam freely. The native dwellers, including raccoons, beavers, foxes, opossums, blue herons, tortoises, and other friends, often visit proprietor Yolanda Signorelli. They come to say hello and receive a tasty treat, knowing they are welcome and safe at Yolanda’s door. The Montrose Farm, situated on the banks of the Potomac River, is just across from Washington, D.C., where America’s history has played out over the past centuries.

The Montrose Farm on the “Nation’s River”

HISTORIC FACTS:

The Potomac River forms part of the borders between Maryland and Washington, D.C.

The majority of the lower Potomac is part of Maryland, where the Montrose Farm and Organic Wildlife Sanctuary is located.

George Washington, the first President of the United States, was born in the area and spent most of his life in the region near the Potomac.

In the 1960s, President Lyndon Johnson set in motion a long-term plan to reduce pollution in the Potomac River and restore its beauty and ecology.

Currently, the Potomac River-Keeper Network navigates a laboratory boat named the “Sea-Dog” to monitor the quality of the water.

Because of its rich American heritage, the Potomac has been nicknamed the “Nation’s River.”

And, of course, the Potomac River is the home of the magical Sea-Monkeys® and all of their safely protected wildlife friends.
