Just as natural brine shrimp pools exist across the globe, so too do Sea-Monkey® pets.
Although Sea-Monkeys® are an American-made product, they have been sold worldwide for decades.
In the early 1960s, they were briefly packaged in French for the Canadian market under the name MR. INSTANT SHRIMP®. Soon after, Sea-Monkey® kits became available in numerous countries, including Australia, Japan, Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Greece, Singapore, and France.
Sea-Monkeys® gained particular popularity in Japan starting in 1970. They were distributed there intermittently through the 2010s by companies such as Tenyo Magic, Tsukuda, Bandai, and Happinet.
With a history spanning over 60 years, these tiny creatures have certainly made a big splash across the globe!
